Inspired by the Iranian practice of wet-felting, my use of this medium transfers this domestic material into a personal and expressive medium for drawing. The OmniGripper is a current read of hero terminology, represented in a group of individuals who carry a heavy burden together. The concept of collective and community is envisioned as bruised, fragmented bodies, yet all holding together through the power of togetherness. This piece is made with two techniques of wet and needle felting.
