M/Othering, 58 x 30 x 3.5 in., wool, 2025
Through sculpting wool with a needle, I meditated on the sharp pain I experience chronically while reflecting on my experience as an immigrant, living in a body displaced from its homeland yet held to the concept of land through an emotional umbilical cord. Growing up near Persian rock reliefs, I came to understand landscape as a vessel of memory and connection.
